Verify Information Before You Spread It

Middle Nation · 1 Mar 2024 · 3:30 · YouTube

You know, I just had a message or an exchange on the Middle Nation public discussion telegram channel. I'm not gonna call the person out because this is actually something that happens quite frequently, and I just kinda wanted to comment on it. They sent a message saying Saudi Arabia is bombing Yemen. Shahid Bolson, would you care to explain or words to that effect. And so I asked, of course, do you have a link to that information?

Because I don't believe this is authentic verified information, to which the answer was, I'm trying to find it. I'm trying to find a a source for that information, a a reliable source for that information. To which I said, you should have had that before you brought up the question, before you brought up the issue. This is very basic. It should be very basic.

Before you bring up a subject, you should know that that subject exists. Before you ask a question about something, you should know that the question is valid in the first place. Otherwise, you're just spreading propaganda. You know? Instead of saying, I just saw someone say that Saudi Arabia is bombing Yemen.

Is that true? I can't find anything about it. I can't find any reliable source to to confirm that that's happening. Does anyone in the group know about it? Shahid, do you know about it?

Rather than saying, this thing that I don't know is happening is happening, and what do you think about this thing that's not happening that I think is happening? What do you think about it? Find out if something is happening, confirm that it's happening, and then ask about it. I mean, there's so many examples of this, Zionist anti Arab propaganda that is just being spread, and it's being spread mostly by Muslims. That's already been debunked, like this so called land bridge going to Israel and so on.

The source of that was Zionist media, But you're still going to the same people who were telling you and who were spreading Zionist propaganda. You still go to them and still take the propaganda that they're giving you, and then you spread it. You propagate it. And, like, you even bring it onto my channel and ask me to comment on something that's not even a fact. Like, hypothetically, what would I say if this were happening, but it's not happening.

You know what Rasulullah said, that it's enough to make a man a liar that he just spreads whatever he hears without verifying it. That's enough to make you a liar. Consider that before you speak publicly about something or even before you ask someone about something. Because when you ask someone publicly about something, you have just made this propaganda public and calling them to comment on it. That's just a way of propagating misinformation.

I mean, typically, happens in the telegram group is that someone will come in who's never been in the group before, and they just drop a message about some with some propaganda message about, you know, Saudi is bombing Yemen or UAE is actively helping in the genocide or something like this, and then they disappear. They just drop one message. They just throw in their little propaganda hand grenade into the discussion group and think that this discussion group doesn't know better. But by now, most of the people in the telegram discussion group for Middle Nation know better. They they know propaganda when they see it, and they know that you're supposed to verify information.

Take information seriously, and take the spreading of information publicly seriously. So find out, make sure you know what you're talking about before you talk about it. It's very simple and should be very basic.
