Welcome to the Qawwamun Channel

Gender roles, relationships between men and women. It's a complete mess. Now we've got problems in the Muslim world, no doubt, but let's be honest. The West's problems are not our problems, and Alhamdulillah for that. So on this channel, I'm going to be discussing those types of topics, gender roles, gender relations, masculinity, femininity, spousal relationships, and so on, and exploring the various implications of the Ayah in Surah Nisa that says that men are Qawwamun 'ala An-Nisa.

Now I am an American, reverted to Islam nearly thirty years ago. I've been married. I've been divorced. I've been in polygynous marriages. I've lived in the Muslim world for nearly half my life at this point.

So I don't claim any particular expertise on these topics except for my own life experience and observation. So you can take everything I say with a grain of salt. So agree, disagree, discuss, enjoy.
