The West always hates who we love

Middle Nation · 28 Mar 2023 · 1:15 · YouTube

Just a quick rhetorical question. Has there ever been a leader in the global South, whether it's in Latin America, in Africa, in The Middle East, or in Asia, has there ever been a leader who was beloved or respected or otherwise appreciated by the global South, who was not hated by the West? Does that ever happen? Is there anybody? Either they were hated, they were undermined, they were overthrown, or they were assassinated.

I mean, think about that. Which leader was respected by both the Global South and the West? And don't say Nelson Mandela because the West didn't respect him until he became a neoliberal sellout. So if you ever find a leader in the global South, in Latin America, in The Middle East, in Africa, in Asia, who is being touted by the West as a heroic figure or as a wonderful figure, as a great leader, and so on, Do the math.
