Joe Biden's 0% Inflation Propaganda

Today, we received news that our economy had 0% inflation in the month of July. I just wanted to say something quickly in response to Joe Biden saying that The United States was at 0% inflation. This is pure PR. This is pure spin on the figures that have come out about the economy for July. Inflation is what it was at in June.

So anyone who's been struggling with higher prices, those prices just haven't gone up more. But that's not even true. It's at 0% inflation month on month because certain sectors have gone down. Other things have gone up. So the decreases in some sectors have offset the increases in other sectors making it 0%.

So it's not true what he said. It's very misleading and that's what PR is generally. You take little nuggets of facts and spin them to mislead and give a false picture of what the reality is. There are still fewer people working in The United States than were working even four months ago. They may be able to report that there are more filled jobs, but those jobs are being filled by fewer people, meaning people are starting to double up on their jobs.

More people are working two full time jobs than have ever worked two full time jobs before. The situation is very bad and a lot of people are getting part time jobs, two, three, four part time jobs. So, yeah, a lot of jobs are being filled, but they're being filled by people who are already working. And there are certain sectors of the economy that are very important to people's daily life where inflation is still raging out of control, most specifically in the area of rent. Rents are going through the roof and you're going to see waves of homelessness in the next several months.

So this statement about 0% inflation is just nothing but PR. It's pure propaganda. It's pure mis misdirection and misleading intended to give a misleading picture of what the economy is even though people are living it every day in their life and they know exactly what the situation is.
