Checking the wife's phone

Assalamu 'Alaikum. Just a quick note here about a husband looking at his wife's phone and why sisters shouldn't be upset when when their husband wants to do that and should actually be grateful that he's taking that kind of interest and care. One of the few rights that, Islam provides for husbands is that the wife should get the husband's permission before going out and that she should not let anyone into the home without his permission. What's your phone? It's a way for you to go out without going out, and it's a way for you to let people in without actually letting them in.

So it's a gateway to the outside world. It's a gateway to people, to interaction, to everything. So your husband has to keep a watch on that just like he has to keep a watch on the door, On your actual comings and goings, that's your husband's business. Well, your phone is how you can come and go while staying at home. So, of course, he has a right to check, and, of course, he should check, and you shouldn't be mad about that.
