America's "floating pier" in Gaza

What exactly is the thinking behind this pier? I don't really know. It obviously doesn't make a a great deal of sense for the delivery of aid, except that you just don't wanna ask Israel or demand that Israel open the Era's checkpoint. There's so many there's so many much easier ways to to to deal with this if if the law mattered at all in terms of just the just the delivery of aid because ensuring that humanitarian aid gets through is no one's responsibility but Israel's. That's literally their legal responsibility under international law as the occupying power.

They must provide humanitarian assistance and facilitate the delivery of humanitarian assistance. And they have the means to do it. They have the ways to do it. They have the route to do it, and they and they won't do it. No one is forcing them to do it.

So it you don't need to come up with all kind of alternative way. You don't need to figure out which window to go through when the door is right there, but but you're not but you are afraid to ask them to open the door.
