Trump's Belligerent Bluff

Middle Nation · 23 Feb 2025 · 11:17 · YouTube

Salik, welcome back. It is your main date here this morning. Up next, we're gonna go to the lines and welcome our next guest. We're chatting to Nisa Bardin talking about Trump's Gaza gamble, the impact of his Middle East plans. Donald Trump's circle Gaza plan has been endorsed by Netanyahu.

But what does it really mean for Palestinians? While mainstream narratives focus on diplomacy and security, the real consequences of this proposal could entrench Israeli occupation and further strip Palestinians of their rights. To cut through the noise, you're speaking with political commentator and activist Nisa Bardin, who has been vocal about the realities on the ground. Nisa, and welcome.

Thank you so much for your time. Thank you for having me on.

And thank you so much for giving us your time this morning, ma'am. Anisa, this so called plan has been presented as a so called solution. But isn't it really just another attempt to cement Israeli control over Palestinian land? What are the lesser known aspects of the proposal that exposes its true purpose?

Thank you so much for that question. So Donald Trump's so called plan for Raza isn't about peace or helping Palestinians. It's a calculated move, it seems the Rovan Bally's own interest and profit motives. Now Trump talks about The United States taking over, the forced removal of over 2,000,000 Palestinians. Now he envisions turning their homeland into a flashy tourist spot all while ignoring the right hand humanity of the people who love me.

Now that's even diplomacy. It's ethnic cleansing. Now he previously asserted sorry. Patroth's words should never be taken at face value. He either deliberately lies and does the opposite of what he says he will do or kills another country of doing something that the military is guilty of.

Like he previously asserted that Mexico will finance the border wall, and that promise remains unfulfilled. Don't have this habit of saying these outrageous things only for them not to materialize. Similarly, he's pressed to withdraw aid from Arab nations unless they accept Palestinian refugees, reflect the course of strategy rather than a collaborative solution. Now by proposing relocation to Egypt and Jordan, countries that have firmly rejected these ideas, some shows a blatant disregard for Palestinian sovereignty and dignity. And his plan isn't about building peace, it's about building profit for himself using Raza as a pawn.

Now the truth is that America is drowning in debt over $36,000,000,000,000 as of January 2025 and from flashing expenses left and right, cutting foreign aid and even shutting down USA programs. Meanwhile, their GDP is far less than their debt at 27,000,000,000,000 to $28,000,000,000,000 Now think of it this way. America is acting like a gambler who's lost it all, threatening to cut off a to pressure others into accepting bad deals. Meanwhile, the coffers are empty. And with that, they have no leverage or real say in this matter.

It's all just heirs and players with Trump. It's just words that he's saying. So that's why Trump is eyeing for the GCC to foot the valve for Hazra's reconstruction. And he wants a piece of the pie, but he doesn't have the cash to buy the whole bakery. So this isn't about helping Hazrat, it's about shifting the burden to others while America wants to hold wants the world to believe that they are in control.

So it's just a rhetoric. Hot air, smoke stream to those guys, a strategy that serves Trump's interest at the expense of Palestinian lives and dignity. But meanwhile, thankfully, the GCC is negotiating efforts that ensure that Palestinians remain in their homes on Palestinian land where they belong.

Now, also, you know, can you have the the passion when it comes to this situation? You know, the humanitarian situation in Gaza, Anissa, is already so dire. So how does this plan ignore or sort of worsen the existing human rights violations and collective punishment inflicted on the Palestinians?

Raza has endured prolonged conflict, leading to severe shortages of essential supplies like food, water and medical equipment. Now the United Nations has consistently condemned the collective punishment of hazardous civilian population, not just United Nations. We're talking about World Amnesty International, humanitarian organizations, all have called us out, emphasizing that these actions violate international law and may constitute a war crimes. Now implementing plans that disregard the well-being of Hakver's residents not only deepens the existing humanitarian crisis physically, but as well as mentally and emotionally. It also perpetuates the cycle of suffering and instability.

So it's imperative that any proposed solutions prioritize the rights and dignity of Palestinians, while basically they should have a say in what happens and it isn't happening at the moment, but they do have the GCC negotiating on their behalf, who will eventually reject the notion of relocating Palestinians or moving them from their homeland. So that we are thankful for at least that they are being spoken for and it's not going to be where it is just to the benefit of Americans.

Mainstream coverage often also focuses on how this benefits Israel's security, but what about the security of the Palestinian people? How does this proposal sideline the voices and safety of the people actually living in Gaza?

Mainstream media focus sidelines the voices and well-being of the people in Gaza effectively muting their experiences and concerns. Now this imbalance in reposting or imposing information even just a general oversight. It purposely withholds the dire consequences of Palestinians since they know that it breached that it's a breach of international law and a strong violation of human rights. So it's done purposefully. Now historically, American media has dominated global narratives, often shifting stories to fit specific agendas, but times are changing.

The global South is rising. And even traditional allies are beginning to question this one-sided story. So social media has become a powerful tool in the shop allowing individuals to share their stories and bypass traditional media gatekeeper. However, it's essential to approach these platforms with discernment. While they offer alternative perspective, they can also spread misinformation and disinformation.

So we must critically evaluate the content we consume, verifying facts and sources. So Mero Nation, for example, the organization that I'm with has been instrumental in this movement. We've had members host live sessions on TikTok, featuring journalists on the ground in Palestine providing first hand accounts of the situation. So this direct engagement allows audiences to witness events through the eyes of those experiencing the impostor and a deeper understanding and connection. So individuals are no longer just accepting that what the person on the TV says is automatically correct, and that's through freedom.

When you think when you can think critically and reach your own conclusion, any other narrative loses its power over you.

Very true. Well said there. Now Israel's long term strategy has been about fragmentation and control. In what ways does this plan fit into the broader agenda, and why aren't the world leaders calling it out?

Several countries have spoken up against Israel's actions. Nicaragua, Libya, Cuba and South Africa have openly condemned what's happening in Palestine. The GCC is working with British nations, making statements against the forced removal of Palestinians. China made a statement condemning the removal of Palestinians from their homeland. Big shout out to Ireland's lawmakers who have always been vocal, criticizing Israel's action even before recent events.

How these leaders are using talks and diplomacy to push for change, but we need more decisive steps. That's why I'm working with Mental Nation as well as United for Justice South Africa on the Article six campaign where we're urging United Nations member countries to use Article six to address ongoing violations permitted by The United States Of America. And why America? Because Israel is nothing more than a colonial project doing the bidding of The United States. So America's long term goal has been to divide and control Palestinian areas, pressing our communities, weakening any United opposition.

Now this new plan that they're proposing which includes moving Palestinians and redeveloping Gaza, put right into that strategy, it's been what they wanted to do from the get go. So it ignores Palestinian voices and rights, treating the homeland like a bailing ball for political moves. And our Article six campaign aims to remove members that keep breaking the United Nations' core values. So by tackling these violations, we want to reform the system and make sure rules are enforced. It's about cutting out the corruption that's like a disease within the United Nations, stopping it from keeping global peace and security.

There, Anissa. And lastly, Palestinians have consistently rejected these imposed solutions that serves Israel's interests. What should people really know about resistance as well as the push for genuine self determination in Gaza?

Palestinians have an inherent right to determination to determine their own future. But even just a moral stance, it's backed by the United Nations Charter Article one, Subsection two of the Charter states that one of the United Nations' main goals is to develop friendly relations among nations based on respect for the principle of equal rights and self determination of people. While achieving self determination often involves compromises, it's crucial that these don't circle away the basic rights of the Palestinian people. For instance, discussions about governance in Gaza might evolve, especially if external influences like those from powerful nations or perceived powerful nations are reduced. Now one way to address these external pressures is through the Article six of the United Nations Charter.

This article allows for the expulsion of the member states and as individuals we can play a part in this process. So we want you to contact our United Nations representatives, our members of parliament and urge them to support actions like invoking Article six of the UN Charter and post the expulsion of America from the organization. South Africa, for example, has a history of championing international justice and we can once again lead efforts to uphold international law.

Miss Nisa, that's our time for this morning. We thank you so much for joining us. Looking forward to our next conversation. We love the passion in your voice when it comes to the cause of the Palestinian people. We thank you for being vocal about this as well.

Have a great day, sister.
