Assalamu alaikum. You know, something has to be said about the use of particular words to make people have a certain impression about something. And what I'm talking about now is the word modern. You know, modern technology. Oh, well, definitely much better than what was in the past.

When you're talking about ideas, views, moral values, and you use the word modern, you have to understand what you're actually saying. I mean, when you're when you're talking about modern views, modern beliefs, modern values, what you are talking about are untested values, untested beliefs, ideas with no track record in history to show their stability or otherwise, to show whether they are beneficial for the society or otherwise. That's what you're talking about. And then when you dismiss what are called traditional ideas, traditionalism, traditional values, traditional beliefs, what you are dismissing are the values, beliefs, ideas that human beings have been following since time immemorial. You're talking about beliefs with a very long track record of stability, a very long history of proven stability and success that contribute to the longevity of societies.

That's what you're talking about when you talk about traditional views. You're talking about the views that got us here. You can't apply the, standards or the perspective with regards to technology. You can't apply that to ideas and beliefs. The ideas that are regarded as modern are not the development of traditional ideas, they are the contradiction of traditional ideas and the, banishment of traditional ideas and views.

This isn't like a a technological development. The ideological, trajectory is a counter trajectory to the views that have a track record in history and the views that got us to where we are today. They're not a continuation of the traditional views. So when you say modern views, understand that what you're saying is untested views that have no track record of success, and then see whether or not you still think it's a great idea.
