My comments section policy
I just wanna say something quickly about my policy regarding the comment section on any of my social media platforms, whether it's TikTok or YouTube or Telegram or anywhere else. I delete and block like crazy. No hesitation whatsoever. And I'll tell you why. Because these are social media apps.
These are social media platforms. These are social media companies. This is not the commons. This isn't the public square. This isn't about free speech.
You can't say whatever you wanna say on a social media platform. That company will decide whether or not you can say it, whether or not what whatever you say will stay there or not. See, this isn't, Hyde Park, speaker's corner. You have your channel. I have my channel.
And I decided a long time ago on social media that I'm not going to engage with anyone on social media who I don't know, who if I knew them in person, I would deem them too stupid to talk to. You understand? I'm not gonna let social media force me into engaging and communicating and conversing and debating with people who if we were face to face, I wouldn't even give them the time of day. So if someone says something that I think is stupid or offensive or unuseful in any way in the comment section, of course, I'm gonna delete it. Why would I let it stay?
And I have no obligation to let it stay. I don't have an obligation to your free speech on my channel. Just like I don't have an obligation to your free speech in my home. You understand? That's my policy.
