America is a One Party System

You know what? One of the most ridiculous things that was said at the congressional hearings on the banning of TikTok, and it was said repeatedly, was that the alleged threats to American security and American children posed by TikTok had accomplished the otherwise impossible feat of uniting the congress. Bipartisan support across the aisle, both Republicans and Democrats were united finally against TikTok. I mean, first of all, they were not united because of the alleged threats posed by TikTok. They were united by the lobbyists of Meta.

Secondly, they united all the time. The division is theater. They united in their unconditional support for Israel. They united in shoveling hundreds of billions of dollars to weapons manufacturers under the pretext of supporting the war in Ukraine. They united in insulating banks against facing the consequences of their degenerate gambling and negligent management.

They united in the right of corporations to price gouge consumers under the pretext of inflation. On and on. The Republicans and the Democrats are just two names, two wings of the business party. They're united in support of business always. I mean, let's be honest.

The United States is no less a one party system than China is. The congress is one party just like the communist party, the CCP, is one party ruling China. You have one business party ruling The United States. Don't pretend like you're divided and you can never get along and you can't agree on anything and you finally have come together about TikTok. Give me a break.

You're united in supporting censorship of online content. You're united in trying to insulate the American people from access to the outside world and the the views of the rest of the population of the planet. That's what you're united in, and you're completely unanimous in that. You don't have any division. There's no division between the Republicans and the Democrats that matters.

It's only theater. Any division that you see is just performative. But on anything substantive, they completely agree, and they're united against the population.
