Answering a question about Western "Beauty Standards"

Beauty standards in the modern capitalist West are always gonna be determined by what demographic contributes the most to the revenues of the cosmetics and fashion industry. So the standards are always gonna reflect the highest spending demographic, which is why you've seen some changes over the last several years with African Americans featuring more in those industries than they did before because black women spend a lot of money on cosmetics. But their spending, for obvious reasons demographically, does not account for the majority of the revenues. That's white women. The same goes for cosmetic surgery.

I think about seventy percent of plastic surgery procedures, are done on white women. In places like Malaysia and Singapore, the beauty standard is Chinese because they're the ones who spend the most money. None of these beauty standards by the way have any real connection to what men find attractive by the way. It's only designed, to instill a sense of inadequacy in women that will motivate them to try to buy their way out of that sense of inadequacy. Never mind the psychological and emotional problems that it causes, the eating disorders, the depression, and all of that.

If your insecurity enables secure profitability, then it's a net good. That's the system.
