The shining spirit of the Malaysian people

Middle Nation · 20 Dec 2021 · 1:45 · YouTube

Just to give you all an update about the situation here in Malaysia. The rains finally stopped today after a relentless deluge that almost seemed at times like it was gonna wash Kuala Lumpur away. Streets have become rivers. Shops, homes, buildings practically became like swamps, places where people used to work and live and shop and trade. Now, there's crocodiles, fish, turtles, snakes, almost as if nature was trying to reclaim the territory for itself.

But the people of Malaysia, they showed the triumphant nature of human beings. Over the past few days, they've showed what it means to be insan. They've showed how the earth itself is dignified by the presence of the children of Adam Alaihi Salam. Allahi, the soul of Malaysia has shined brighter than the sun even amidst the incessant rain inundating the city. And this comes after nearly two years of the pandemic with tremendous economic hardship, personal loss, and ongoing sacrifice and difficulty.

But there they are, helping each other, taking care of each other, carrying on, doing what needs to be done, and all the while smiling, joking, laughing, and shrugging it off like it's just a normal day. Their spirit is incredible. They serve as an example to everyone around the world to learn from. May Allah bless Malaysia. You're an inspiration to all of us.
