Clarification on Trump's supposed anti-Zionist remarks

Middle Nation · 19 Sep 2022 · 2:19 · YouTube

There's a video going around, and it's being spread by Muslims and Arabs who think that Donald Trump is making an anti Israel sort of a comment, saying that Israelis or Zionists are taking over the Congress. When I first saw that clip, I suspected that what he actually meant, if you saw the full clip, was probably the opposite of what people are thinking that it meant. And in fact, that is the case. Here's the clip that's been going around.

You know, Israel used to have the strongest lab. It was so powerful. You couldn't say a bad thing about Israel twelve years, fifteen years ago. Right? Today, it's like Israel is like these people are just trying to take over congress.

It's terrible.

Now, I can't show the full clip, but I'll show the lead up to that quote. Just to let you know that what he's actually talking about here are what he terms radical leftists who are trying to take over the congress. The implication being that the radical leftists are anti Zionist and anti Israel. So, yes, in fact, the actual meaning of the clip is the opposite of what many people think it is. It's not that easy to watch an entire Trump speech because they tend to be rather long and somewhat rambling.

And many times clips will be taken out of context whether for Trump or against Trump. So you do kinda have to watch the full speech in order to get the gist of what he's actually saying.
