BJP is on borrowed time

So as we know, spokespeople for the Modi government in India have, made slanderous remarks against on the national television. And as we know, this is the culture of the BJP government. This is the culture that they have been trying to promote and spread in India with anti Muslim policies and anti Muslim sentiments, and it has been a feature of Modi's politics throughout his entire career. We also know, of course, that whatever they have said on camera is just a glimpse of what they say and believe off camera. The hashtag boycott India has been trending on social media, and the entire Muslim world is outraged by these statements.

This is where the matter of leverage comes into play. A little less than half of India's top 20 trading partners are Muslim majority countries, from Saudi Arabia to The United Arab Emirates, to Turkey, to Malaysia, and Indonesia. And India is in a position right now where they will be particularly sensitive to any interference or disruption to the international trade, having already, put severe restrictions on the export of wheat and sugar, and the fact that they are in a precarious position with regards to their relationship with The United States over the issue of Russia and the war in Ukraine. But I would suggest that taking a policy of boycotting Indian products in our local shops is probably not the best strategy because that's just going to hurt local businesses and shopkeepers. Those goods have already been paid for.

India has already been paid for those goods, and that's not going to make them suffer in any way. What you need to do is contact your local chambers of commerce, trade ministries, major importers and exporters, and ask them to suspend trade with India until this issue gets addressed adequately. And addressing this issue adequately is going to mean more than just the particular officials and individuals who uttered those remarks. It's going to mean the Modi government finally renouncing religious bigotry, religious hatred, Islamophobia, and taking measures to protect Muslims in India and to guarantee their freedom to worship and practice their religion, including the right of Muslim girls to wear hijab when they go to school. We know again that this has been the culture of the BJP, and it has been something that they have been promoting in India for a very long time now, and the tensions between Muslims and non Muslims in India has been getting worse and worse.

So the Modi government needs to do something more than simply, renouncing their animosity and aggression against the Muslims, they need to actually undo the harm that they have done. And all of India's Muslim country trading partners need to hold them accountable for that. Now having said that, any Indian expats or citizens of Indian heritage in Muslim countries need to also be kept safe and should not be the target of blame or anger or resentment by the Muslims or held responsible for the Islamophobia and extremism of the Modi government because I'm sure that many of them, if not most of them, are appalled by the Islamophobia and religious hatred of that regime. And they should be invited to participate in any protests or events, that are designed to renounce the statements and actions of the Modi regime. Now, just for the Muslims, I'll say, we have stories from the time of the Crusades when the Muslims would be, besieging a fortress and not making any headway.

They couldn't get, they couldn't achieve the victory. But the moment they heard the enemies inside the fortress start to slander Rasulullah start to shout, insults against the prophet the Muslims would make takbir because they knew that meant that victory was imminent, because they knew that Allah has committed himself to defending the prophet So whoever insults the prophet has brought humiliation upon himself, and that humiliation will befall him with or without any action by the Muslims because that is the sunnah of Allah. About this, there's no doubt.
